The mechanics:

1. Every week, the contestants will submit a photo of themselves based on the weekly theme. The deadline for the pic to be e-mailed to the contest coordinator is Saturday night, 9:00 PM. No pic merits automatic elimination. The e-mail address is g4m.lms@gmail.com. The theme for the following week will also be announced on Saturday.

2. The judges' comments on the submitted photos will be posted in the blog and in the thread. Votes, however, will be submitted to the contest coordinator through either private messaging or e-mail. The judges will choose who they want to be the Model of the Week, as well as who they want to eliminate.

The judges must submit a 1st choice and a 2nd choice. Results will be primarily based on the 1st choice. The 2nd choice will only be used if a tie-breaker is needed. In cases of a tie, the 1st choice will count for 2 points and the 2nd choice will count for 1 point, and the contestant with the most points will either be the Model of the Week or the eliminated contestant, as appropriate.

The deadline for voting is Sunday night, 9:00 PM. We're implementing a 2-strikes-you're-out rule. If you do not submit either your critique or your vote for any 2 of the rounds, you will be eliminated as a judge.

3. The contest coordinator will announce the Model of the Week as well as who is eliminated in a new thread, latest Sunday night 10:00 PM. A new thread will also be created for the new round.

Additional rules/notes:

For contestants -- You can post as many pics as you want in the thread, but you need to choose only 1 pic as your official pic for that week. You can ask the audience to help you decide on which pic you will submit as your official entry if you're having difficulty deciding. Please make sure that you don't put any text on your photo.

For judges -- Minimize criticizing a contestants looks. All we're looking at is the quality of the photo (poses, angles, adherance to the theme, artistic and editorial value, etc.). For this competition, you will need to submit a critique (1 paragraph minimum) for each of the remaining contestants every week. We will impose a 2-strikes-you're-out rule starting from Round 1. At the end of the round, please e-mail your comments to the contest coordinator so they can be posted all at the same time for the contestants to see.

CYCLE 1 ROUND 3 THEME: THE VIRGIN SUICIDES

Fashion editorials sometimes use provocative themes as a means to catch the public's attention. Some editorials have used themes like crime scene victims, car crash victims, and gang rapes. Here at G4M's Last Model Standing, we'd also like to see how far the models can push their limits. Your challenge this week is to come up with a high-fashion photo portraying someone who committed suicide.

Disclaimer: We are by no means trying to glorify or glamorize suicide. We are merely trying to see if the models of G4M's Last Model Standing can handle controversial themes like our theme this week. If you are contemplating killing yourself, or if you know someone who is planning to kill themselves, we advise you or your friend to seek help to deal with the issues you or friend are facing.

Pics will be posted here: http://www.g4m-lms.tk
or http://www.g4m-lms.blogspot.com

Good luck to all the contestants! G4M's Last Model Standing Cycle 1 Round 3 starts NOW!

Cycle 1 Round 2 -- Results

This is the official announcement of results for G4M's Last Model Standing Cycle 1's Round 2.

* * * *

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 2nd elimination night of G4M's Last Model Standing, Cycle 1.

Sadly, Malificent was unable to submit a photo before this week's deadline, and has therefore been eliminated. We will still, however, continue with the elimination for this round.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 2: "Labor-er Day". We wanted to see how well you were able to translate the raw quality of an "-er" into a high fashion photo.

Overall, the judges thought that the quality of photos this week was definitely better than last week. You all seem to be finding your ground here in the competition, and you're beginning to understand what it means to model in a photo. Unfortunately, 1 of you still hasn't improved enough to continue on in the competition, and therefore will be eliminated.

* * * *

In my hand I hold 8 pictures, and these pictures represent the 8 men who will be continuing on the journey towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

1 of you will be eliminated...

I will call only 8 names. The first name I will call is the winner of this round -- our Model of the Week.

You are G4M's Last Model Standing Cycle 1 Round 2's Model of the Week!

This week was all about showing the raw energy of an "-er" and translating that into a high fashion photo. You definitely showed rawness in this photo, and the judges love the risk you took.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

* * * *

7 more names...

The judges thought you pulled off another strong performance. Some of them thought that this is your best photo so far. Great job in the competition so far.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

Onyn iS heRe

A lot of the judges liked the photo, but they also commented that it seemed a little too polished. This week was also about rawness, and that's something that you maybe incorporate into your future photos.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

Though your photo wasn't as raw as the photos of the other models, a lot of the judges still responded to the high-fashion quality of your pose and facial expression. You took a risk in re-interpreting the theme, and the risk paid off.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

The judges like how you're trying to step up in the competition. Still, you seem a little bit too relaxed for this week's theme. Also, you need to work on not getting lost in the concept of the photo.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

The judges think that this week's photo is too similar to your photo from last week. While we loved your photo for Round 1, we think that it's time you showed us a little bit more versatility. You can do better than this.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

Some of the judges liked this photo, though some of them did not. There was a rawness in your photo that some of them could respond to. However, in a week when a lot of models did well, you weren't able to stand out as much.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

* * * *

And that means...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

james jay and theTrueCallin, you're both in the bottom 2.

james jay -- While the judges see that you've put in a lot more effort into your photo, your facial expression still makes you seem bored. Modelling is all about the face, and if you can't learn to master yours then you won't make it far in this competition.

theTrueCallin -- The judges overall didn't think you put enough effort into your photo. While you did portray an "-er", the rawness in your photo was missing. You need to do much better than this if you want to win this competition.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

I have 2 men before me... 2 talented men who have so much potential. But I will only call 1 name. The model I do not call must immediately return to his house, pack his things, and leave the competition...

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

theTrueCallin

You're a good-looking guy. But good looks will not win you this competition. Fierce modelling will.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

james jay, that means you've been eliminated.

We hope that you've learned from this experience, and we wish you luck in your future career. Thank you for joining G4M's Last Model Standing, Cycle 1.

And so the competition goes on. Cycle 1 Round 3 officially starts now. This round the theme is "The Virgin Suicides". Please see the new thread "G4Ms LastModelStanding C1 Round 3" for details.

Cycle 1 Round 2 -- Judges' Critiques

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Aked

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: You improved. Good job! However, your outfit didn’t make sense at all. You looked like more of a dancer than a heavy equipment driver.

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? – The only growth I see in this picture is that the focus is on you. I did not like the styling of the wardrobe because it looked more of an action star rather than a construction worker. I believe if you just wore a HARD HAT, gloves, and a distressed jeans would have make this look believable. Your eyes look more as if you are begging for something but the way you flexed your arms is a nice touch. Make me believe in you!

6. lenin: A big step of improvement from your last photo session. The lower extremeties though looks odd and the face seems a tad frightened of the camera although your body language says otherwise. Just okay for me...

7. nonsense: okay...I liked the concept...but be very careful not to get lost in the set...you have a very good set to work with..but it didn't shine through...your eyes are quite dead...the pose isn't quite working for me as well..I know you can give more...but this shot..didn't quite translate to fabulousity for me...but kudos to you for pulling off a shot like this..you know you can do better next round...

8. Rafe_143: not my favorite shot this round..yeah you have the whole contruction guy outfit but it looks like you just stood there ..almost like your taking a tour in a contruction place and you wanted to take a pic with the truck...like i said with the other models before..the face is so important...and here you seem kinda lost in the face..and di ba your portraying the handy man thing? your face is too clean..it might have worked with some oil stains or dirt on your face....its pretty safe for me

9. rotogold: Now you are being confident. I like the confidence. It shows. That is what I call "realism". No drama. Just plain posing. And you succeeded into showing how an "ordinary" construction worker looks like. I like the guts, the stance because you have just told us "hey, look at me! I have what it takes!"

10. SayNO: this reminds me of the covers from the cheap m2m asian porn. show some imnprovement. look at vogue or metro. you'd learn a lot.

11. toyan: its a good thing u wer able to have that big yellow mnster behind u.. it somehow liven up ur shot... but ur attire .. its just not right.. something is missing.. the jeans that u used.. i dont think its appropriate for a carpenter, construction worker... well im givin credits for the effort and yeah the theme is visible... but this show is not worth rememberin...

12. yoh_asakura: Nice one there! I see here that you're portraying to be a heavy equipment operator. Be more creative to the choice of clothes. Just keep yourself on improving, especially the 'model factor' thing.

13. zavier.angel: A good model always knows his best asset; this picture shows you do not. A good photograph always shows the best in the model; this one does not.

14. ZephyrInTheS: This was an OK photo. I appreciated your photo last week more though because you took more of a risk. Again, I like the intensity in your eyes, and you did well to try to show the rawness of an "er" through the tension in your right arm. Still, I think there's more that you have to do if you want to win this competition.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

CeEJhAy_10

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: Your photo is the hottest entry of this whole thing. It is beyond all others. You worked it, flaunted it and delivered a very effective and profitable photograph. Keep it up!

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? – This is another great picture from you and you listened and learned from last week’s critiques. You are one hot farmer in this scene. You again used your asset which is your body and your expression evokes high fashion. I also love the carabao because it also looked as if posing for the camera. Nice job!

6. lenin: Much better pic than last time . Color is gorgeous and made me long to go home to my province and frolic in the farms with our carabaos and other livestocks. I think the carabao upstaged you. Looks like you were about to race with your pet there. But still you managed to pull through this one, capturing some intensity in your eyes wich is a good thing.

7. nonsense: hmmmm....what can I say with your photo? just look at this photo of yours..you're fierce...what can I say?..last week I didn't the sparkle in your eyes..oh but this week..you served it..it's all in your eyes now...the pose looked good on you..if you experiment a bit more...the next couple of shots would just scream Fabulous!!

8. Rafe_143: its a good shot..but i think the carabao is stealing the shot from you....also that you look like an anime character or something rather than looking like a farmer..and its very ijportant tpo adapt and work with the enviroment you were put on...in this caes i think the pose didnt match with the scenery....it would have been so much better if you were holding the carabaos rope or something..but i think youll still get thru this round

9. rotogold: I do not know, but somehow you just convinced me that you are a natural! You are perfect in your pose! With a lean body, you made me believe that you are RAW. Just RAW. Was the photo edited? If yes, you must lessen the urge to edit the photos and you are JUST it. I know it is very hard to come out with a realistic shot, but then, you may never know, it will be to your advantage. Great.

10. SayNO: i have to really point something out. why is the carabao taking more more space in the photo than you? the photoghrapher you have seriously needs lessons, if you you would have tried to change the expression a wee bit more -it looks like your expression from last week- and the photo was taken from another angle or even more focusedm in you. i think it would have been better.

11. toyan: U R the hottest lad in dis round!! ur fierce... and yeah.. i really love it... great great!! i love the outfit.. the background.. and ur relationship with the brownguy beside u... way too hot!!! BRAVO!!

12. yoh_asakura: Excellent! You have a green thumb planter! Fantastic projection! The style plays well; I like your tattered jeans plus the h ead band. The carabao played a lot of impact with your entry! You might be my choice for this week

13. zavier.angel: In a photograph like this, the challenge is how the model can blend with if not upstage the animal. The solution normally is for the model to relate to the animal. Otherwise, the animal upstages the model -- as with this photograph – and the modeling becomes an utter failure.

14. ZephyrInTheS: Fabulous. I love this pic. I love how you take risks every week, and you definitely portrayed the theme very well. I love the intensity of your facial expression, and your body angle shows off your best features well. Good job.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

claydoh

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: I believed you’re a smidgen of a perfectionist. It was evident on your outfit. But, hey what the heck! I’ve been always a fan of your photos since GNTMC3. You’re cooler than anyone else!

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? - This is a better performance than your 1st round. I love the execution of the pose from the way you hold your hat, the awkward handling of the digging tool, and the hip positioning to top it all. You also gave another side of you which is the more masculine look and I can see an expression even though you are not looking at the camera. I think the side profile worked for you this week. You are almost there!

6. lenin: Gardening with an attitude. You could have toned down the nasty attitude a little and this would have been a very good photo. It just looks a bit too posed for me but the effort is there. Over all color of the picture works for me and the earth tones you used for your clothes seems to go well with the background.

7. nonsense: what can I say?...You served it like a gorgeous gardener...really really impressive..you make gardening a very fierce job indeed!!!...I love it...

8. Rafe_143: purrrfect..this shot is so edgy...it makes your eyes do a zigzag look when you look at it coz your body is on a akward angle..i love it..very brocken up doll-ish... and the face...yeah you made the face..and it matched the pose perfectly.....work it!!! hehehe

9. rotogold: Now this si different. You are a model personified. The gestures, the movements, the postures… they are just about perfect! Believe it or not, I like the boots! No one would ever thought that someone would wear such! Only thing is that it almost too contrived for me to believe that you are indeed what you are trying to project. You may be able to pull this off. But honestly, all things being equal, you may be in danger.

10. SayNO: mediocre. youre too clean alf. youre supposed to be a farmer. ive never seen a farmer in white boots and clean khakis. this just isn't believable.

11. toyan: This is ur best shot so far.. its a shot that is "just right" for this round.. and i love the way u projected.. the hat is perfect.. and the background is really nice.. bravo for claydoh in this round..

12. yoh_asakura: Your pose is stunning! I like it, some what like you're a Poison Ivy in disguise. Maybe you should have worn a nice button down shirt to add more style. I don't like your background; it would please me if you pose behind a corn field or strawberry farm or inside an orchidarium to justify your job being a gardener and there still a lot of areas to be improved.

13. zavier.angel: Cacique mode? Peasant mode? You should have made the decision. The salakot (for peasants) does not go with the suspender and white boots (for landlords). The entire concept becomes artificial and therefore loses credibility

14. ZephyrInTheS: I love the high-fashion pose. Good facial expression. Overall it's not very raw, but it still works. I love your right arm -- very broken down mannequin, in the words of Miss J.

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: I saw discomfort in your feet and in your neck which was nowhere to be found. Plus, your neck reminded me of ANTM C9’s photo of Victoria (Flower shoot), everybody knew how horrible it was.

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? – You really love getting wet. = ) I still like your first round picture but I appreciate how you transformed yourself from high fashion to less glamorous to adapt to this week’s challenge. I just wished there is more action in this picture because I did neither see nor feel enthusiasm this week. Do not falter!

6. lenin: Honestly, this dissapointed me. Last times picture was sizzling but this one just doesnt show "modellesque". But kudos you look as if you look right at home in this picture. a Bit too homey in fact that it wasnt believable that you were just modelling here. That could work in some circumstances , but in t his one, it doesnt..

7. nonsense: you do like water eh?...your photo last week is quite the same as your photo this week...there's really a thin line between being sexy and sleezy...I like this photo...is it better than your previous photo?...No...is it the best this week...no?...but it's not boring nor is it mediocre...it's you..and ultimately...that's what this competition is about...being the best model you can be without losing yourself...next time..I'd like to see you in a more toned down photo...

8. Rafe_143: neck neck neck...yo lost your neck. take note na dapat there should be more neck in order to make your body look longer and leaner... i think you look sort of uncomftable in this shot..its akward looking for me..akward in a bad way....i dont like your body cuz your legs look short..which makes you look short as well....and the face seemed kind of bored.....unlike your facial expression last round..i preffered tha shot more.... but based on your shot last week..i believe that you have potential...alot of potential..im still rooting for you ..so do better ok?

9. rotogold: I like the effect. You can do just about everything. You are "native", forgive the parlance, but you are SEX personified. In your simple way, you have just teased just about every gays in town! You really know how to project and you are very very very REAL. And I have to admit, I have a bias on photos taken raw. It does not hide anything.

10. SayNO: sometimes being dressed is more sexy. i don't see the difference of this photo with last weeks. it has water, youre wet and shirtsless with an almost sheer pair of pants on. and in from this angle you look short. a model is taught to look elongated. next time get dressed and use your limbs. yorue way better than this.

11. toyan: ur last shot is definitely better than this one.. dude wats happenin??? wers the X factor that i saw in u r last shot? u look so unfonfident in dis one.. i can see u cant get rid of the water element in ur shots.. here's the bottomline .. u lack concentration in this shot... its not so modelly type.. but not that bad.. just can't avoid comparing it to ur previous supershot!!

12. yoh_asakura: You amazed me with your entry last week but it seems there is redundancy with your photo now; facial expression, being topless, trousers, water and vehicle. Your pose didn't strike me; it's too lousy like the water flow in your hose handsome carwash boy.

13. zavier.angel: You don't seem to be a skilled carwash boy because those soap bubbles climbed up to your neck. The way you hold the hose too reveals inexperience. You would be skilled and experienced in something else?

14. ZephyrInTheS: I think even you know that you can do better than this. There was more rawness in your photo last week. You look bored here. Even your body angle doesn't give off any energy. It's good enough though to get you into the next round.

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: great attitude, love the pouting booty. You took risk, however not the best risk. Keep up the improvement!

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? – I believe that this is a better take on the concept than last week but it is still lacking. I just wished you exaggerated your pose and expression because your outfit and makeup stood out and not you. If you will explore this side of you then make sure to give it a blast and not just a spark. I need more!

6. lenin: Face is gorgeous but thats just that. It looks slutty and a bit whorish and to top that, you are the odd one out of the bunch. Takings risks is good but in this case, you flunked. Were you about to shout SIZE 10 COLOR BROWN PLEASE?

7. nonsense: how do you like this photo of yours?...I like this photo of yours quite better than your photo last week...you just shine through this picture..my eyes go straight to you..and your legs...they are gorgeous!!...I love the contour of your lower back doing the booty pop...it looked really good on you without crossing the line...and it shows how versatile you are...I would definitely want to see your photo next round...keep it up...keep being fierce...

8. Rafe_143: wow..im impressed...this hot is way better t han your photo last week.....really..you got into the zone and just worked it out...i cant say much...i like your shot..its not all the way there..but its almost there...more intensity on the face though..hehehehe

9. rotogold: Honestly, I love this photo. You have become daring. I like the way you have projected yourself. You have the uncanny ability to be NOT yourself and I love it! The pose itself is simple yet very very persuasive.

10. SayNO: sigh. didn't you learn from last week. your photographer appears he hasn't too.he cut off your legs and left around 20 percent of the photo with a blank wall in it. you have a very unnatural expression in your face. you look slouched. slouched in a non fashion way.

11. toyan: well this shot is better than the last one ... but hey... the theme is laborer.. i find dis shot more appropriate in a playboy mag.. but yeah ur pose in this pic is perfect...

12. yoh_asakura: I'm quite confused with what you are. Are you a waitress or simply a bitchy house maid? But I really like the manner you took the risk for this! Play more with your body, impress me Paris!

13. zavier.angel: What's the diagonal body angle for? Modeling a maid's uniform? I have not seen a maid in the Philippines as pretty and well made up as you are in this photograph.

14. ZephyrInTheS: Hmmm. Good try. I still think your facial expression makes you look bored, but you did better at coming up with a more unique body angle. Next week, try to do something more engaging with your facial expression, cuz here your eyes look a bit dead.

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: I adore the face and that’s all. It’s not realistic enough since you wore that outsized pants or pajamas? That’s not something a man of construction would wear.

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? - I still love your last week’s performance as compared to this week. I did not like the way your right arm is stretched because your chest looked awkward and uneven. Your facial expression for me is close to being a poker face with a touch of raised eye brows. You could have chose a heavier material to carry like a metal sheet to make it more interesting and it may also help you in evoking an expression like the heaviness of your burden. You need to again step up and set the bar high!

6. lenin: WOW. I think you have a special relationship with the camera. It just loves you. The eyes looks intense yet dreamy. Nice. Body angle is ... as always perfect. Industrial superman! You really look the part and the way you cavorts with the lighting works very well for yuo . Giving that extra edge to your facial expression .Its Yin and Yang. Fierce yet gentle? Something like that.

7. nonsense: oh my..what happened?...you were at the top of this pack last week...this photo is good..but I like your photo last week better...you looked a bit short here...I think it's because your legs were towards the camera so it makes it look a bit shorter than what it seems...your legs are too far apart from each other it makes you look bigger...but I still adore your face...the expression on your face is prolly one of the best this week...you can see through those piercing eyes of yours...very very good...but overall..this photo is mediocre for me...but you're still good to me..

8. Rafe_143: good good..you have your body open ti the camera...if this was a campaign foe a brand of pants, the designer would have been really satisfied of this shot....the only comment i have on this shot is...the light..i mean the lighting is great but you must your angle in thi light..kasi sometimes the light changes a persons look...i think the light didnt hit your face as good as it did with your body..butits still a goodshot..and i like that your being consistent..keep it up....

9. rotogold: Now, you are showing stuff and determination. Perfect! You have really maintained the model's stance. Your photo has created a strong impact on the role you were playing – strong, determined, and lowly. Your body is just perfect for the role you were trying to portray. The background setting has complimented us in all aspects. Exquisite!

10. SayNO: in a way i'd want your your photos to be raw.you are a model we all know that. i dont need to see any editing or exaggerated pose to see that.

11. toyan: wuts wrong?? ur 2 previous shots are very very far from dis one... here are ur weak points in this shot... * ur shot is more like uhmmm a halloween shot.. *uve got really good shots in the previous rounds.. this one myt flop.. but the goodthing is.. u gave a good emphasis for the theme... good but not that great...

12. yoh_asakura: One of the great competitors for this cycle! The setting is good and your pose is stunning! The photo clearly speaks of what you are here but just don't disregard the glam craze even you're a factory worker.

13. zavier.angel: What a handsome warehouse man! Despite the distance from the camera, you were able to make your eyes project multiple meanings. Though the lights on your right side are too bright, you made yourself the overpowering center of the photo. Great job!

14. ZephyrInTheS: Hot hot hot! I love this photo. Er na er talaga! Hehehe. I love the body angle, your facial expression, and the overall rawness of the photo. Great job.

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: I felt the intense, you delivered naturally. You are a model indeed. Great job! You look hot btw!

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? - Last week’s facial expression is better than this week but concept and focal subject jived better in this 2nd round. I am looking for any kind of emotion on this picture but what I can sense is calmness of the face that is verging on a poker / dead face. Work it out!

6. lenin: Overall the picture is well taken, but lack intensity in the eyes which can be used to your advantage more because your eyes are just amazing. But in this picture it lacked fire. A little more effort could have made this an awesome shot. It is still a very good picture though, just probably could have been made more striking. It quite captured the essense of the theme this week. You managed to get down dirty and yet pulled it off to make this a believable photo shot.

7. nonsense: You are my favorite this week...I loved your photo last week but it didn't seem to shine through me then..but now..you showed how well you deliver in your photos...true enough..the potential I saw in you...is there...keep it up...you stepped up your game this week...so very good...

8. Rafe_143: i love the positioning of your hands....and the body is ggod too..oinly that you lost your neck..it appears short...and i dont lioke the look on your face...its a beauty hot..its too cute and charming for the theme..i prefer a more edgy and hard look for this shot.....take note..the face is the money maker in modelling.....but i think youll still pass this week

9. rotogold: I know you can deliver. You have been showing what it takes if you really find yourself into the role. Had you taken this raw, this would have been outstanding, but you decided to crop the photo, and it ended up right. You are intense. Please show more of this in the succeeding rounds. Bravo!

10. SayNO: asan ang pagod sa mukha? you were adode-ed to look dirty but it looks too posed. too peaceful. too soft. how many mechanics have you seen with that expression. again, it's unbelievable.

11. toyan: dis wk's shot is ok but not great.. it's not remarkable... here are the things that i love about ur photo: 1st. the background.. it gave emphasis to the theme.. 2nd ur attire.. specially the goggles... but u have to pay attention to your projection.. no matter how bonggacious ur paraphernalias are... if ur projection is dull... then ur just wasting ur effort.. the pic.. is good but not remarkable...

12. yoh_asakura: I guess you're trying to be an auto mechanic screw boy. Everything seems ok, there is the style and the creativity but still you lack the X factor to outshine your contenders. Express your self more!

13. zavier.angel: You should have grabbed a soldering gun to match the soldering glasses. Color scheming is also awkward – yellow and orange, black and white – that drowns the focus on your expressive face. Sayang.

14. ZephyrInTheS: You look like a diamond in the rough. You tried to appear rough, but your polished-ness still came out. It's a good photo though. I just wish your face wasn't so relaxed so that it could have matched the hardness of your body angle.

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: Not fascinating, unpleasant, outmoded. You put a smaller amount effort to your photo and for that… Access denied!

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? – Where is the hot guy from the first round? This picture is commercial and not high fashion. It is a better take on the concept but you did not perform as good as last week. If we can just superimpose your last week’s picture to this week’s background and props, this can become a strong material. Push harder!

6. lenin: Seems you like you were about to change tire of your car and at the same time sit down for a romantic picnic for two. I just dont know with whom. Either your care or your date. Its the way you hold the toolbox I guess. A little more effort please . But its looks okay enough for me to have yuo pass this round.

7. nonsense: this shot doesn't work for me as much as the other photographs would...there's just something lacking in this shot I can't put my finger on it...maybe it's the expression in your eyes that I didn't quite get...and maybe the angle of your body in this shot isn't the strongest Ive seen you..

8. Rafe_143: [no comment]

9. rotogold: It is summer and yet you can't get to show some perspiration? That was the only negative I can see in this photo. You might be too cute to pass off as a laborer, but the realism is there. Your eyes are really something. Without daring to take a second look, I would have thought that you are just "ordinary" and viola! You've succeeded in portraying your role. Not much artistry in the photo, but that is the challenge you have dared and risked, and I think this is just wonderful.

10. SayNO: ?

11. toyan: i must say .. at the first glance i tot ur shot is not good.. but upon scrutinizing it... its really good... the theme is visible... the background is good... and ur best asset in this shot is.. the way u projected.. i love the look in ur eyes... good job!!!

12. yoh_asakura: This is another half-baked entry tire vulcanizer. I just don't like what you did. There are bags of vast ideas that you can do to craft your entry to be an eye-catcher. Even you have a nice face and torso if your entry is evidently not worked out, you'll remain dormant kiddo.

13. zavier.angel: Now you showed your face – and your body too – but this is a half-baked combination of action and album shot. The body angle is somewhere down, almost invisible to the viewer. Tsk-tsk!

14. ZephyrInTheS: Your facial expression has improved, though I'm not feeling the body angle. There's not so much modelling going on here. If you angled your arms a little bit differently you could have made more of an impact in the photo.

1. Boytoy11: [no critique -- strike 1]

2. carlosantino: [no critique -- strike 1]

3. Ellis: [no critique -- strike 1]

4. Evian_Yohann: you have the style, great background, cool concept but you, as a model…completely average!

5. Juls2: Growth Factor? – Is this you? You look very different from last week’s entry. You look stiff in this picture and you look more worried in making your body straight rather than finding a better facial expression. Again this is good take on the concept but I am having doubts if you are high fashion or just commercial. You need to stand out from your creative concept!

6. lenin: I like the shadow behind you. It seems to get more attention though than the real you. And if the background and the other props seems to upstage you it could mean that you were a bit weak in that pose there.

7. nonsense: you have a very creative background there....and you almost got lost in it..but you managed to make yourself shine out of the picture...I look at this photo and I look at you and then I digest everything in your photo...this is good...you took risks....it would've been more fierce if you just pointed your tippy toes..but this is a good shot...very creative..

8. Rafe_143: the concept is really good...but but but..the face again is just lost with me...it didnt match...the body is already there.....just the face..i didnt get the face..you almost look happy or soemthing...you need more mirror time..practice practice practice.....this wuld have been a powerful shot....

9. rotogold: Concept-wise, you passed with flying colors. Now let us discuss you. You have an obvious stiffness that made me look into you twice. The body paint is just about right. And before I forget to mention – the scenario is outstanding. Your posture is okay only to be negated by your face projection. You looked so tame! An angel perhaps. And it does not become believable because I was looking at somebody who is "warlocke" and NOTpaint-er.

10. SayNO: you look stiff. your body is convered with paint but not your clothes. what's up with that? a good photo -and it;s model- always evokes a feeling or tells a story. this leaves you blank.

11. toyan: this is not a good shot.. i dont like it.. too much paint.. again.. the theme is labor-er day.. not abstract...

12. yoh_asakura: Too scripted! Spattering the paint in your body would be more artistic painter! It seems there is inflexibility in you. Try to pose behind an undone painted wall with a fierce look playing with your brush.

13. zavier.angel: Your eyes evoke innocence the color of your white pants. Paint splattered on your body and face is justified. The lights did not work though as it cast a shadow on the background. You also seem to have been holding your breath too long already to turn you into a mannequin. But I am willing to ignore all these if only for the wonderful use of vivid colors.

14. ZephyrInTheS: I like the concept, but you need to be more careful in the future not to get too lost in the concept. It's the modelling that you need to focus on. Good body tension, but I think your facial expression could have been a bit more rough. You look a little bit too relaxed.

CYCLE 1 ROUND 2 THEME: LABOR-ER DAY

In celebration of Labor Day, we at G4M's Last Model Standing would like to honor all Filipino blue collar workers. Your job as models for Round 2 will be to come up with a high-fashion photo depicting an "-er": driver, construction worker, carpenter, etc.

Pics will be posted here: http://www.g4m-lms.tk
or http://www.g4m-lms.blogspot.com

Good luck to all the contestants! G4M's Last Model Standing Cycle 1 Round 2 starts NOW!

Cycle 1 Round 1 -- Results

This is the official announcement of results for G4M's Last Model Standing Cycle 1's Round 1.

* * * *

Hi contestants! Welcome to the 1st elimination night of G4M's Last Model Standing, Cycle 1.

Sadly, hard_hot was unable to submit a photo before this week's deadline, and has therefore been eliminated. We will still, however, continue with the elimination for this round.

This week your challenge was to submit a photo of yourself that best represented our theme for Round 1: "The Heat Is On". We wanted you to show us how the summer heat was affecting you. The idea behind the theme was for the models to come up with a pic that captured the essence of summer. We wanted to see the heat emanate from the photo; we wanted the models to sizzle.

From the submitted photos, it was clear that a lot of you are still trying to find your way in this competition. While some of you managed to come up with high quality photos, most of you either didn't adhere to the theme or didn't manage to put your best modelling foot forward.

None of that matters now. What matters is that in my hand I hold 10 pictures, and these pictures represent the 10 men who will be continuing on the journey towards becoming G4M's Next Top Model.

1 of you will be eliminated...

* * * *

I will call only 10 names. The first name I will call is the winner of this round -- our Model of the Week.

You are G4M's Last Model Standing Cycle 1 Round 1's Model of the Week!

The judges all agreed that you came up with the most high-fashion photo this week. It's hard to be high-fashion when you have a gritty theme like we did this week, but you pulled it off.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

Some of the judges felt that out of all the models this week, you sizzled the most. Some felt you sizzled too much. This was a great photo, but we'd just like to remind you not to cross that thin line between modelling and pornography.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

You made a great effort with your photo this week. You know how to work your body angles. Now you just need to work on coming up with a fierce facial expression to match the edginess in your pose.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

Your photos got mixed reviews. Some judges loved the risk you took, while others didn't think the risk was worth it. Still, overall the judges thought your performance was good enough to get you into the next round.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

The judges are happy you decided not to back out. Your photo shows that you have potential. Now your challenge is to turn this potential into great photos.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

You were one of the strongest models in the audition round, but this week you kinda stayed under the radar. While your performance was good enough to get you into the next round, you need to step it up a gear if you want to win the competition.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

Some of the judges loved the risk you took with your concept, while other thought you spent so much time on the concept that the modelling took a back seat in terms of your focus. Remember - this is first and foremost a modelling competition.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

The judges were disappointed with your photo this week. In your audition photos the judges saw a lot of potential, and they're wondering where that potential went this week. Luckily enough of the judges think you deserve a 2nd chance at being able to portray the appropriate emotion for the theme.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

The judges gave your photo mixed reviews. A common comment though was that you weren't showing enough emotion in your eyes. That's something that you'll need to be able to do if you want to go far in this competition.

Congratulations. You are still in the running towards becoming G4M's Last Model Standing.

And that means...

Malificent and mrdreamboy, you're both in the bottom 2.

Malificent -- The judges were very disappointed in the photo you submitted this week. They see a lot of potential in you, but it seems as though you're not interested in using this potential to do well in the competition. They're wondering if you want to be here at all.

mrdreamboy -- The judges were unhappy with your submission too. This is a modelling contest, not a contest to see who can come up with the cutest friendster pic. The judges are wondering if they made the right choice when they voted you into this competition.

I have 2 men before me... 2 talented men who have so much potential. But I will only call 1 name. The model I do not call must immediately return to his house, pack his things, and leave the competition...

Mediocrity is not tolerated in G4M's Next Top Model. Still, the judges see your potential. Don't let them down.

mrdreamboy, that means you've been eliminated.

We hope that you've learned from this experience, and we wish you luck in your future career. Thank you for joining G4M's Last Model Standing, Cycle 1.
